What is Artificial Intelligence(AI)?

Artificial intelligence (AI) is the system of converting human thoughts artificially through computer devices. 

It is also known as the subject based on computer science which includes intelligent machines. Such machines are known as Als. 

If we are thinking about a robot, the intelligence of a robot is called artificial intelligence. There are different types of input in the computer by which the computer can make decisions of its own in time of need.

History of Artificial Intelligence(AI):

In 1956, an American computer scientist named John McCarthy of American MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) used the word artificial intelligence.

Alan Turing is known as the father of artificial intelligence. His Turing test has a huge contribution as the basis of it. 

The Turing test is the type of examination through which a person can understand whether a machine has the ability of thinking or not.

If a machine passes the test, one can understand that the machine is artificial intelligence or not. 

People usually think that Alan Turing is the father of artificial intelligence, but he actually is mostly famous for theoretical physics.

How does AI actually work?

Artificial intelligence (AI) is made by using different types of programming languages. Some are given below in bullet points:-

There are more programming languages by which artificial intelligence is made of. Because of artificial intelligence any device can gain the ability of thinking logically.

AI is important in our life because we are using it to save time, money and energy at once. It has been used to automate business tasks done by humans. AI can complete work given much faster and in a much more accurate way that’s why it is used in almost every field of our life.

The uses of AI can be divided into three categories. They are:

      Expert system is a method by which artificial skills are used as human beings in some specific areas. 

    • Learning Systems:

      In the world of artificial intelligence, learning is an important characteristic. Learning agent is made of four elements. They are:

    • Fuzzy Logic:

      Fuzzy logic is such an element which is used to copy human reasoning. It is also used to find out more than false and true. By using it, Fuzzy logic is possible to solve the figure of true or false. 

    • Neural Network:

      Neural Network is the type of element which is responsible for finding out how the human brain works.  

    • Genetic Algorithm:

      Nowadays, genetic algorithms are responsible for making various types of models; like scientific, technological business systems etc. 

    • Intelligent Agent:

      Intelligent agent is a system by which AI uses sensors and actuators to achieve the goals depending on the environment.  

Robotics:

    • Visual Perception 

    • Tactility 

    • Dexterity 

    • Locomotion 

    • Navigation 

Natural Interfaces: 

    • Natural Languages 

    • Speech Recognition

Advantages of AI: 

    • Good at detail based work. 

    • Reduces time in heavy data tasks.

    • Saves Labour and increases productivity. 

    • Huge complex tasks can be solved in a couple of minutes compared to a human.

    • It can increase customer satisfaction with the help of automation.

    • AI can provide services all over the world without taking breaks or getting tired because it is artificially made by human beings.

Disadvantages of AI:

    • Artificial intelligence is not creative like human intelligence.. 

    • Artificial intelligence has no scope to develop naturally. It has to be developed by human beings at present. 

    • Artificial intelligence can be expensive. 

    • It has to depend on repetitive data collection and giving responses to the questions asked depending on that repetitive data.

    • It needs deep technical expertise. 

    • A few qualified workers can make AI tools. 

    • It is responsible for eliminating human jobs. As a result, the unemployment rate increases.

    • Because of AI, people can gradually turn away from basic research and creative work. 

    • AI abuse can cause serious threats to humanity. 

    • In long terms, there are chances that intelligent machines can dominate human beings, 

    • Machines can overpower human beings and start ruling the world.
